1.1. Occupation
Rümp is self organized and relies of voluntary engagement of others. It is sometimes the case that there are simply not enough people who can help out, as such we agree that an awareness shift can be occupied by someone who has a job that allows them to remain mobile. The person who does awareness should prioritize the awareness work and should be familiar with the awareness concept of the collective (e.g. being sober). At times where the Rümp is informally used, a “Wendetafel” will be hung in order to show if Side A: Someone is present who feels responsible for awareness at the moment. Or Side B: No one is currently present.

1.2. Sobriety
The person who is on an awareness shift shall be sober for the entirety of the shift. Sober means that the person has a clear head and they are not any influence of any drugs. A person can consume drugs before an awareness shift, but they have the responsibility that they are sober and of clear mind by the time their shift starts. Drugs are alcohol, psychedelic substances and chemical substance that change ones reception of their surroundings and themselves.

1.3. Visibility
Awareness people should be clearly recognizable during their shift. They shall carry a from the collective designated symbol (6 adjustable armbands) so that people know that they can approach them the people at the entry have the responsibility to inform the visitors how to recognize an awareness person. In addition, this awareness concept will be posted on Rümpeltums website.

1.4. Size
Awareness work shall not be completed alone. In the case of an assault, two parties are involved the aggressor and the aggressed. As an awareness team we need to be able to accompany both parties. As thus there need to be at least two people who are on a shift. A shift should not exceed four hours. At a Küfa without a concert we agree that only one person is enough to take on the awareness shift.

1.5. Briefing at the Entry
Each guest must read an awareness briefing text. It is the responsibility of the people at the entry that the people who enter read the text. After reading the text, the entry persons should encourage them to verbally consent to the awareness concept and ask questions if they have any. Only after acknowledging and consenting does the guest receive an entry stamp.

1.6. Contact possibility before and after an event.
Guests should have the possibility to contact the Rümp awareness team before and after an event. There is a separate email address (awareness_ruemp@tuta.io) for this, so the privacy can be ensured. For those who prefer analog communication, a physical mailbox will be set up where people are invited to give feedback and contact the awareness team anonymously.

1.7. Standard Briefing and Procedure for Awareness-Shifts
The Rümp collective has an agreed briefing and procedure for the people who do the awareness-shift. This includes an explanation of the responsibilities, expectations and basics of the awareness team. People should be encouraged to read the concept, the briefing is a short outline to make it easier to do an awareness shift.

1.8. Saferspace
The safe space is the Radioraum, the key for the Radioraum is in the Safe or on the people doing the awareness-shift. The safer space is a space where the awareness team can hold conversations or for person to recover from a traumatic event or a negative experience for example with drugs. The idea is to provide a private and safer space for emotions to be expressed. The safe space should always have: a blanket, couch, 4 walls, quietness, skills (fidget toys, scents etc.), some form of sugar and bouillon (for people who throw up or are very drunk) as well as a first aid kit (bouillon and the first aid Kit can be found in the Kitchen).

1.9. No Awareness, no Event
The collective agrees that if there is no awareness shift or realization of this concept that the event does not take place. A concert does not take place if there is no music and the same should apply to awareness.

1.10. Privacy and Disclosure
People who do awareness should have the possibility to talk about things they witness. They should however refrain from name dropping or sharing private experiences of others without the persons involved consent. We avoid negative gossip!

1.11. Self care
In the beginning and at an end of a shift members of the awareness team take a few minutes to check in with each other (check-in and check out). This is space where they can discuss a situation that may have been stressful.

1.12. Externally Organized Events
The organizers of external events are responsible for organizing persons for awareness shifts and that the guests and artists are informed. They are given the infrastructure of the Rümps Awareness team (Concept, Armbands, Saferspace, briefing) and are invited to ask questions about awareness if there are unclearities. If an external organizer fails to organize an awareness structure for their event they may receive restrictions of organizing events in Rümp. Such incidents will be discussed in the collective.
